Description

Advanced Dosing Technology for Flow Assurance & Asset Protection

Our Chemical Injection Skid (Skid-Mounted Package) is engineered to provide precise, automated, and continuous dosing of specialty chemicals into production streams, pipelines, and process systems. Designed for the most demanding environments – onshore, offshore, FPSO, TLP, MOPU, and subsea support – these systems are critical for maintaining operational integrity, enhancing hydrocarbon recovery, preventing flow assurance issues, and protecting capital assets across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

The skid is a complete “plug-and-play” solution, pre-assembled and factory-tested to significantly reduce on-site installation labor, project lead times, and hazardous work activities.

Core Applications

Our skid-mounted systems inject a wide range of critical chemical agents for the following purposes:

Application Area Chemicals Used Purpose
Flow Assurance Methanol, MEG (Monoethylene Glycol), TEG, Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors (KHIs) Prevent hydrate formation in gas lines and subsea flowlines
Asset Protection Corrosion inhibitors, Scale inhibitors, Oxygen scavengers Mitigate pipeline and downhole equipment degradation
Process Optimization Demulsifiers, De-oilers, Drag reducing agents (DRAs) Enhance oil/water separation and improve flow efficiency
Water Treatment Biocides, Flocculants, Coagulants, pH regulators Treat produced water, support enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and ensure water quality
Other critical functions Wax inhibitors, Foam control agents, Antifoulants Maintain fluid handling and process stability

Typical Components

A standard chemical injection skid integrates multiple precision components on a common base frame:

  • Metering pump(diaphragm or plunger type) – delivers accurate and repeatable chemical volumes
  • Chemical storage tank(rectangular or cylindrical) – holds the chemical to be injected
  • Multi-compartment tank– available for different chemicals in one skid
  • Calibration pot / column– enables verification of pump output and injection accuracy
  • Pulsation dampener– smooths pressure fluctuations from reciprocating pumps
  • Safety / relief valve– protects the system from over-pressurization
  • Back pressure valve– maintains consistent system pressure
  • Y-type strainer / suction strainer– removes solid particles from the chemical
  • Pressure gauge & instrumentation– provides real-time monitoring
  • Control panel– houses automation logic (local PLC with HMI or integration with plant DCS/SCADA)

Additional options: level instruments, flow transmitters, agitators, flame arresters, electric heat tracing, remote monitoring transmitters, and explosion-proof enclosures.

Technical Parameters (Customizable)

Parameter Standard Range Extended / Custom Range
Pressure rating 150 – 30,000 psi Up to 20 MPa (custom)
Flow rate 1 – 100 L/min 1 L/h – 1,000 L/h
Tank volume 1 – 10 m³ On request
Injection accuracy ±1% (API 675 compliant)
Pump drive Electric, air, or gas driven Variable stroke length / frequency drive

All parameters can be tailored to specific project requirements.

Key Features & Modular Design

  • High-precision dosing– Configured with API 675 compliant metering pumps (diaphragm or plunger) to ensure ±1% volumetric accuracy. Injection rate is adjustable via variable pump stroke length or frequency drive of the electric motor.
  • Engineered metallurgy– Available in SS316L, Duplex, Super Duplex, Hastelloy, and other corrosion-resistant alloys to handle highly aggressive chemicals, acids, alkalis, and salt media.
  • Comprehensive “plug-and-play” integration– Includes storage tanks, suction and discharge line valves, calibration columns, pulsation dampeners, safety relief valves, and all necessary instrumentation.
  • Intelligent control options– Local PLC control panels with HMI, or seamless integration into the plant’s main DCS/SCADA system for remote monitoring, real-time data acquisition, and automatic dosing adjustment.
  • Hazardous area certification– Certified to international standards including ATEX, IECEx, NEC (Class I, Div 1 & 2), with explosion-proof, moist-proof, and dust-proof ratings available.
  • Compact, modular skid-mounted design– Pre-engineered for easy integration into existing infrastructure and space-constrained installations (FPSOs, TLPs, MOPUs, wellhead platforms).
  • Bespoke configuration– Each skid is custom-made based on customer specifications, including flow rate, pressure rating, tank capacity, material selection, pump type, and control system requirements.
  • Long service life & easy maintenance– Industrial-grade components and robust construction ensure durability with minimized downtime.

Factory Testing & Quality Assurance

Every unit undergoes rigorous testing before deployment:

  • Hydrostatic testing– confirms pressure integrity
  • Functional acceptance test (FAT)– verifies all system functions
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT)– ensures material and weld quality

The skid is delivered fully assembled, tested, and ready for rapid installation and commissioning.
